DENPA FAN NODE · MOSAIC.WAV
[ PROFILE ]
From: Akihabara, Tokyo
Since: 2004
Members: MI-KO (vocals), Susumu Kayamori (keyboards),
Masaya Koike (guitar)
Genre: Akiba-pop, a name they coined themselves
[ STORY ]
MOSAIC.WAV started out writing theme songs for visual
novels and became a band in 2004. They called what they
played "Akiba-pop", pop music from and for Akihabara,
and the name outlived its original scene.
Guitarist Masaya Koike is the same Koike who was one
half of UNDER17 with Momoi Halko, so the family tree of
denpa is smaller than it looks.
Their anime work includes openings and endings for
Mamotte! Lollipop, Sumomomo Momomo, Potemayo and Kyouran
Kazoku Nikki, plus the full soundtrack of School-Live!
(2015). In 2024 they celebrated 20 years with a one-man
live show and a four-disc anniversary set of newly
recorded songs.
